Infrared (irDA)

Definition: Many mobile phones & devices incorporate irDA ports for cable-free data transmission, via infrared light (similar to your TV remote control). Unlike Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi, data transmission is "point-to point" which means that you must line up the ports to make it all work.
