Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion)
Definition: This is the latest (and most expensive) battery technology available. Li-Ion batteries can hold more energy than other batteries of the same weight. They don't suffer from the memory effect that can damage other battery types, such as nicad and nickel-hydride, which can take away from the battery life and affect memory capacity if they are recharged incorrectly.
