Nickel-Hydride (NiMH)
Definition: The most common type of mobile phone battery uses nickel-hydride technology. This has better capacity than a nicad of the same weight and is less sensitive to incorrect charging cycles. However they still suffer from the memory effect, which can take away from the battery life and affect memory capacity if they are recharged incorrectly. Also known as Nickel-Metal-Hydride or NiMH.
