International Roaming
Definition: Many mobile phones can be used abroad, with calls charged to your mobile phone account, and this is known as roaming. Be warned that call charges are higher than normal, and you will also pay for incoming calls (in addition to the call charges charged to your caller!). This is where the number of bands available to your phone becomes important, with Dual Band phones working on the 900 and 1800 frequencies, throughout Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific, and Tri Band phones also working on the 1900 frequency in America. Check with your network for more details, and also specific call charges.
