MTN Cameroon, leader of the Cameroonian mobile phone market announces that its subsidiary, MTN Network solutions obtained a first category license from competent authorities and can therefore be officially launched [decision 000047/MINPOSTEL/SG/DRT of 31 March 2006]. Furthermore, MTN Cameroon announces that the acquisition of GlobalNet, a local Internet access provider is effective. Given that the legal opposition period has expired, integration of GlobalNet within MTN Network solutions is on-going.
