MTN Nigeria Communications Limited has announced that it is far ahead in market share of the telecommunication sector in Nigeria.
According to Mr. Olu Akanmu, General Manager, Consumer marketing who disclosed at the first press conference on the MTN Y’ello family game show in
Lagos, the company has provided telephone service to 64 per cent of the Nigerian population. While admitting that the figure is unofficial, he stated
that “there is no network that comes near us, 64 per cent of Nigerians are covered by MTN network.
