Lagos Governor Commends Starcomms

Starcomms, Nigeria's leading Total Communications Solutions Provider Company has been commended by the Lagos State Government, for its outstanding corporate social responsibility projects in the country.
Speaking at the commissioning of reconstruction work on Saka Tinubu Road, Victoria Island, the executive governor of Lagos State, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu commended Starcomms for rehabilitating the Bishop Kale Close, which leads to the company's corporate headquarters, relocating the company's Fibre Duct on Saka Tinubu, which cost three million naira (all expenses paid by Starcomms) and keeping its corporate environment very clean.
The Governor, while thanking Starcomms for its philanthropic gesture, encouraged the organization to keep up the good work. He also made a clarion call to all the other telecoms companies and corporate bodies to emulate Starcomms and try to build a partnership between their companies and the government.
Mr. Adeyinka Adekoya, MD, Direct Communications Limited, also commended Starcomms and thanked the management for their efforts at supporting the Lagos State Government.
Mr. Maher Qubain, Chief Operating Officer, Starcomms, in his response, expressed the company's gratitude, and thanked the Lagos State government for its commendation.
He said that Starcomms is very honoured and proud to be at the event and re-stated the company's decision, as a company that loves the Nigerian culture, to continue to make its presence felt by supporting the government, building a long lasting relationship and partnership between Starcomms and government at various levels.
Starcomms, which currently has over 200,000 subscribers on its network, is embarking on an aggressive roll-out programme to expand its network and coverage. The company has over the years embarked on several corporate social responsibility projects, especially around music and culture.
