Ghana's only cellular network using the CDMA technology has recently extended its coverage to Obuotabiri, and has also added Voice mail to its bouquet of value-added-services.

Kasapa

Kasapa Telecom's upgrade to a digital cellular technology from its old analogue technology last year has allowed it to introduce more value-added services to its network. The latest addition is "Kasapa Voice Message".

With this, Kasapa's subscribers would never miss a call when busy. The Kasapa voice mail system which is automatically enabled for all subscribers takes over the call when it has not been answered after 6 rings or when the phone is off. The service is free-of-charge and comes with no activation fee or monthly charge.

Subscribers can dial *11 to pick up messages, change their greeting or password for only 2 cedis per second and they automatically receive a free SMS showing the time the calls came through as well as the phone numbers.

Kasapa subscribers can dial *88 for further information or to deactive the service.

Kasapa is a subsidiary of Hutchison Telecom.
