The new hall equipped with the latest Customer Care facilities situates at the Pent House floor of the Call Centre.

Speaking at the event, Globacoms Chief Operating Officer, Mohamed Jameel, said the expansion of the Centre was necessitated by the rapid growth of the companys subscriber base which currently is over seven million.

Jameel noted that Customer Care operation was essential to the growth of any business and that Globacoms management would continue to give priority to the needs of the Customer Care Department. The customer is the sole reason why we are in business. We are therefore determined to offer the best customer service and ensure that the department compares with the best in the world, he stated.

In her opening remarks, the companys Customer Care Director, Maria Svennson, said the additional facility has greatly enhanced the operations of the department and put it in good stead to briskly handle all customer calls and resolve all issues and complaints.

She said the Call Centre was equipped with the latest technology and was manned by well trained and highly motivated staff. Stressing that the Customer is everything in Globacom, Svensson remarked that the Department had established for itself a reputation for professionalism, courtesy and prompt resolution of customer care issues.

Globacoms Customer Care expansion project is continuing with the construction of two new gigantic buildings just beside the current office. Svensson said the project would soon be ready for commissioning and that it would be the largest Call Centre in Africa. She affirmed that the Department was well on its way to realizing its vision of becoming the model and reference point for superior customer care in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Glo Customer Care services are also available in its retail arm, Gloworld. The outlet offers a convenient avenue for easy, unrestricted access to Globacom services in a world class environment. There are several of such outlets strategically located in different parts of the country. The plan is to open at least one outlet in every major city of operation within the country.

Gloworld centres, seen by Nigerians as retail outlets of choice, specialize in delivering world class telecommunications solutions. They are manned by well trained and motivated sales and customer care professionals. Customer needs are promptly met, complaints are promptly resolved and excellent after sales services offered, Svensson added.
