MTN Session Begins In Accra, Ghana

Chief Executive Officers of MTN in nine West African countries will hold a two-day strategy session in Accra on September 7 and 8, 2006.
The session would discuss, among other MTN's product synergies, opportunities in the mobile telecommunication sector, roll out strategies and the company's technological road map.
The participants, including chief finance officers, chief marketing officers and chief technical officers will come from Nigeria, Cameroon, Benin, Congo Brazzaville, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Liberia, Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana.
The Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr Brett Goschen, commenting on the strategy session said the participants would also adopt strategies to improve service delivery and enhance efficiency.
He said the session would come out with action plans for the next five years which are aimed at strengthening the presence of MTN in the sub-region.
Mr Goschen was hopeful that the strategy session, which is the first of its kind would serve as a platform for the senior management personnel to exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences with a view to enhance quality service delivery.
MTN is a major player in the mobile telecommunication sector in Africa, with the company being the market leader in countries in which it operates.
