Glo Mobile Introduces Caller Tunes

Nigeria's Second National Carrier, Globacom, has introduced personalized Glo Caller Tunes which create unique identities for its subscribers, corporate and individual.

Globacom's Head of Consumer Marketing, Chris Ehimen, who announced this said subscribers of this service can personalize their phone so that their callers can listen to a variety of selected tunes instead of listening only to default ring back tones, which are often monotonous. He said corporate organizations can also use the service for disseminating information relating to their brand or company in general, while corporate jingles can be converted to corporate caller tunes. Features of this service include downloading up to 5 different tunes onto the subscriber's album at a time and then assigning each of the tunes downloaded to as many callers as the subscriber wishes. Therefore by providing this fully personalized service, a subscriber can have different tunes for his family members as well as for his office colleagues, Ehimen explained. The service, which targets young and middle age groups who are easily fascinated by customized ring tones, seeks to add uniqueness and flavour to subscribers personalities. The Glo caller Tunes for now is available only to glo postpaid subscribers.
