Glo Mobile Lowers GSM Tariffs, Offers Free Night Calls

Glo Mobile has excited Nigerians with a bouquet of packages that include the lowest call rates ever for Nigerian prepaid subscribers, free night calls for all subscribers on the Glo network, 40% discount on calls to four Glo numbers, free calls to Customer Care, validity for life and 10% bonus on recharges from N1000 and above.

Glo Mobile NigeriaGlo Mobile said in keeping with its tradition of being at the fore-front of efforts to empower Nigerian telecom subscribers, it has decided to introduce two new packages, Classic Plus and Easy talk.

Glo Classic Plus package

Under the Classic PLUS package, Glo subscribers can make calls within the network for 48 kobo per second peak period and 40 kobo per second during off peak period. Calls to other networks under the package is 70 kobo per second for both off peak and peak periods.

Subscribers will also enjoy 40% off call charges to 4 glo numbers of Friends and Family.

Glo Easy Talk package

The Easy Talk package has the lowest call rate and offers subscribers an unmatched tariff of 33 kobo per second for on net (Glo to Glo) calls. Subscribers to Easy Talk will pay a monthly rental fee of N399 to enjoy the low call rate of 33 kobo per second for off peak calls within the Glo network and 42 kobo per second for peak period calls within the Glo network. Calls to other networks attract 67 kobo per second for both peak and off peak periods. The subscriber gets another 10 percent bonus on every call made to four registered numbers of family and friends. Beside these benefits, both packages also have 10 percent bonus on every recharge denomination from N1,000 and above.

Globacom's Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Mohammed Jameel, said the new offers, announced to coincide with the celebration of Nigerias 46th independence anniversary, will enable Nigerians have more freedom and open them to choices that have been deliberately designed to enable them be in charge.

Also introduced for the Glo classic Plus and Easy Talk subscribers are freebies including free on net calls between 12 midnight and 5:00am. This is the first time that any network will be giving more subscribers on its network such an offer.

Globacom's Head of Consumer Marketing, Chris Ehimen disclosed that the network introduced the two new products, Classic PLUS and Easy Talk with various freebies designed to ease the way the subscribers talk. With this package, we have told subscribers that Globacom is better for you. We have the history of keeping faith with subscribers. Since inception, we have been bringing them the best technology at the most affordable price. We have always treated our subscribers as kings. They are the reasons for our existence and we shall continue to give them affordable and innovative products and services that will make life more meaningful for them, said Ehimen.

Globacom is also giving its subscribers Validity for Life on all prepaid and post-paid packages provided such subscribers make or receive a call within every 90 days. Glo subscribers will also enjoy free calls to customer care helpline. Globacom also announced the reduction in its international call tariff from 90k per second to 65k per second for Classic Plus and Easy Talk subscribers, making it the lowest in that category in the industry. Also reduced is the sms tariff which dropped to N5 for on net messages while the off net sms tariff remains at N15.

"i thank you for not letting us down I mean we your adherent customer with your various packages. but you still need to show your competitor that you are up to the task. the issue of free nigth call that other net work copied you. you need not to have stop soon.there are some place I will likely want you to boost your net work. Omuaran area of Kwara state, so that it will cover the sourranding villages such as Oru ago, Idofin, Okedaba, Ahun, Oyate, Oko, Ola and so on.
