Vodacom Tanzania: New International SMS Rate, VodaFASTA Promotion Extended

Vodacom Tanzania has increased its SMS international rate to Tsh 100 (VAT excl.). The rate change took effect today on January 2nd, 2007. From now on all Vodacom Tanzania cutomers will be charged Tsh 100 when sending an SMS to any international destination. The local SMS rate remains unchanged at Tsh 45 (VAT excl.).
Vodacom subscribers who credit their account with Tsh 250 and above using VodaFASTA will automatically get a 5% airtime bonus.
This VodaFASTA promotion has been extended to March 31st, 2007. The promotion was originally supposed to end on December 31st, 2006.
The objective is to encourage customers to request recharge via VodaFASTA.
Vodacom Tanzania Limited is a subsidiary company of Vodacom (pty) Limited based in South Africa. Vodacom (pty) Limited owns a majority share portion of 65%, the remaining 35% is owned by Tanzanian shareholders.
