MTN Nigeria Offers Special Valentine Promo & Parties Across Nigeria

MTN Nigeria has packaged a special Valentime promo for its subscribers to mark the 2007 Valentine Day celebrations. Subscribers who recharge their airtime with at least N400 have a chance of winning a trip to Paris in France as well as $3,500 cash benefit.
First price for the winner and spouse/(or partner) include a trip to Paris, France plus a 3,500 dollars cash (basic travel allowance, BTA) benefit, topped with a brand new BMW 1 Series to the bargain.
“It’s a lifetime dream trip for two. It is a high bargain coming only from MTN Nigeria. This is a dream promo meant to delight our customers and prove that we really mean to ‘Move you ahead’,” Mr. Ikechukwu Kalu, Senior Manager, Consumer Market said at the official press presentation last Thursday at the Golden Plaza in Lagos.
A second prize on offer will take 10 lucky persons on a weekend trip to any holiday resort in Nigeria, plus a Toyota Corolla each to the toast and N100,000 for their wardrobes expenses. A third prize in the ‘Y’ello Love Bug’ promo offers 50 customers each a smile home with N100,000. Another 100 customers would enjoy special Valentine’s Day dinner, including hotel accommodation for the night for fourth prize.
As an added incentive, multiple entries are accepted if a customer spends more than N400 in a month within the duration of the promo with the calculation done in multiples of N400.
Also, airtime received from relatives in the UK through the MTN Top Up Card enables a customer to qualify for the draws provided it is valued up to N400.
According to the Consumer Market Manager, the mobile firm also plan big for its customers in a 10-city Valentine Day ‘super’ party that would take consumers across the length and breathe of Nigeria. “It’s going to be a big super Valentine Day party across Nigeria. We’re organising a 10-city party for consumers. It is not just a party, because what we are offering them is a complete package that would leave a lasting impression in their memories,” Kalu said.
Lagos as the largest market and biggest city in the country would host two of those parties in the Mainland and Island zones. “For Lagos, we would have two parties. One would be at the Eko Hotels & Suites, while the mainland event would take place at the choice entertainment spot, Planet One in Maryland. The couple would be checked in, have dinner and then have an all night Valentine party.”
Besides Lagos, other cities billed to host the Valentine Day party are Port Harcourt, Enugu, Calabar, Ibadan, Abuja, Jos and Kaduna.
