Ghana: The DNL SMS Results Service Launched

Department of National Lotteries (Ghana) subscribers send the word "national" to 1404 and a reply message will be sent to the subscriber indicating the winning numbers of the week.

Ghana The Department of National Lotteries was established under the Lotteries Act (1958). This was subsequently incorporated into the Lotteries and Betting Act (1960).

By the promulgation of this Act the DNL was empowered to conduct Lotteries from time to time and Ghanaians were thus afforded the opportunity to indulge in such games of chances as were authorized under the Act. Since then, Ghanaians have had the chance not only to try their luck, but also to contribute in no small measure towards the development of their country.
