Local 'Movicel' Launches Worldphone Motorola A840

Angolan mobile telephone company "Movicel" is launching today in the national market the universal telephone called Worldphone Motorola A840, that combines the two technologies used in the country (CDMA and GSM).
The Worldphone has a photographic camera with video and flash incorporated, agenda for 500 contacts with photographs, a card with a memory capacity of 256 Mbytes, an external screen with 4.000 colours, a coloured internal screen, sends and receives messages and data, compatible with the world's most advanced mobile telephone communication.
The complete kit includes a charger, a battery, a cover and hearphones, a memory card of 32 Mb and USB cable to connect to the computer and CD with synchronisation software for new melodies.
All these is priced at USD 849, including the SIM card and free calling credit.
The telephone was presented to the press on Tuesday, in Luanda. The executive director of Movicel, Francisco Basílio, said that his company is the third company in the world to launch this product, after Varizon (EUA) and Pelephone (Israel).
He stated that the Worldphone will mainly benefit clients of the 91 network who frequently travel abroad and desire to contact users of the GSM network.
