Starcomms Rewards 200,000th Subscriber

Starcomms Limited, a total communications solutions provider, has presented a special commemorative gift to Ibrahim Aliu Momoh, the 200,000th subscriber on its network. Two moths ago, Momoh, a Naval personnel who resides in Apapa area of Lagos, purchased a Starcomms phone no. 01-8197620, which incidentally was the 200,000th activated line on the network.

He was presented with a laptop-enabled with Starcomms Mobile Data Card with one year free Internet service; a Starcomms mobile phone among other gift items and would enjoy free on-net (Starcomms to Starcomms) calls for life from the 200,000th line. The total value of the gift is worth over half a million.

Omar Lababidi, marketing Starcomms Limited, while presenting the special commemorative gift to Momoh at the Starcomms headquarters, stated that the gesture of rewarding the 200,000th subscriber was both a celebration of this achievement as well as an appreciation of the patronage of the several Starcomms subscribers, without whom there would be no Starcomms.

He expressed pride and joy at the attainment of the 200,000 subscriber base, stating that it has firmly established Starcomms as one of the leading PTO in Nigeria in terms of coverage, subscriber base, network quality and customer service delivery.

Starcomms, he added, being the first PTO in Nigeria to record 100,000 subscribers on its network last year, has reaffirmed its position as the leading PTO in Nigeria through this latest achievement.

He remarked that with the quality of technology deployed (the CDMA 2000 1xRTT), and the impressive array of products and services catering to various individual needs, Starcomms currently ranks as one of the largest and most sophisticated total communications solutions provider in the world today.

Starcomms began operations in Nigeria in 1997, and currently renders voice, fax and Internet services in Lagos, Kano, Maiduguri and Port Harcourt.
