Nigeria: Starcomms Launches Starpoint Franchise Shops

Nigerian Fixed Wireless Operator, Starcomms has unveiled a new franchise scheme that would bring service delivery closer to the people.

Starpoint Shops is an arrangement which would spread the Starcomm brands across cities where it has operations beginning with Lagos. Starpoint Shop franchise scheme is being implemented through partners, including existing dealers, who can afford to own and operate them in specified locations. Starcomms’ voice, fax and high-speed internet services are currently available to over 200,000 subscribers in Lagos, Kano, Maiduguri and Port Harcourt, all of which have a combined capacity of over 500,000 lines. The company is embarking on an aggressive roll-out programme that will see it going live in at least six additional states of the country over the next few months. |
