Telecom Namibia plans to invest NAD240 million (USD40 million) this year in modernising its infrastructure and boosting connectivity to rural areas, managing director Frans Ndoroma announced this week. Ndoroma said Telecom Namibia is planning the network improvements ahead of the expected passing of a new Telecommunications Bill to open up the fixed line market to competition later this year.
